School and Cultural ldentity. Case Study Theoretical High School  „Dositei Obradovici" Timişoara

Subiect: The educational system of a country reveals the society's vision ofitself, on the type of citizen it wants, but a/so the various orientations within it. We will present the way how a group shall retain its identity in the context of an increasingly accelerated assimilation and the role of the school in cultivating cultural-linguistic values. One of the most important communities in the west of the country is the Serbian community. Theoretical High School "Dositei Obradovici" in Timişoara is trying through the proposed activities to keep the balance between the objective of transmitting traditional elements of the community, namely to form an open citizen to various cultural experiences.
