Din viaţa clăcaşilor de pe moşia Potlogi, judeţul Dîmboviţa, la 1830

  • Subiect: Among the petitions adressed to the authorities of Bucharest by the oppressed peasants after the Russion Turc War of 1828-1829 we may count of the Potlogi estate, Dâmboviţa county. In 1830 this estate, together with the palace built up by Constantin Brâncoveanu, belonged to the great ban Grigore Brâncoveanu, the last descendant of the wise and faithful prince killed by the Turcs in Constantinople in 1714. The peasants were dissatisfied with the tenants request that the rent should be payed in corn, according to old custom, though that year the crop had been quite bad because of the drought. Finally, after an inquiry, anaccord was completed and justice was done.
