  • Subiect: „Thea idea of a more ample pa per about the presence of the naval officers in the romanian spirituality was born from the wish of the re-es/ timation of the contribution of some military personalities to the enrichment of cthe national patrimony of cultural, scientific and technical values. Using a big nomber of original documents beeing in possesion of the Romanian Naval Museum, the author intends to present some performances of these officers obtained for the first time in our country or in the world, a part of them from the field of aeronautics. ln this last field of activity is to be remarked the contribution of commodore Pavel Popovatz, the man who anticipated the officier from merchant marine, Ion Paulat, the inventor of one the first sea-planes of the world.”
