Bucureştii în vremea lui Vlad Ţepeş

  • Subiect: Vlad Ţepeş - the Empaler - was the first ruler to settle his Capital in Bucharest, coming from Târgovişte. The oldest document attesting the name of Bucharest was issued by his chancellery, on September 20th 1459. The presence in Bucharest of the ruler and his court generated the premises of the town development, therefore Vlad the Empaler is rightfully considered one of the founders of Bucharest.
