O contribuţie fără egal la îmbogăţirea patrimoniului culturalartistic al României: deschiderea în Bucureşti a Casei memoriale-muzeu Pictor Alexandru Ţipoia (1914-1993)

Subiect: The dramatic changes in the political regime of Romania, after World War II, has generated, among others, a reconfiguration of artistic values according to new ideological standards. Thus, many important artists were marginalized - it is the case of Alexandru Ţipoia, whom the Interwar press considered one of the most representative young painters, who underwent years of vicissitudes during the Communist period. Strongly believing in their forerunner`s art, the Tzipoia family - his son, daughter in law and niece, all three artists in their turn - have restlessly tried to rebuild Alexandru Ţipoia`s cultural fame, while remaking his creative environment in a memorial house. The article presents a part of the difficulties they have encountered in this respect.
