  • Subiect: The Family of the Freeholders from Piscani The author presents the evolution of the family of the freeholders from Piscani after the tragic death of Vlaicu Piscanul (the 1st of October 1544) as a consequence of the fight from Fântâna Ţiganului. He possessed a big landed domain - resulted from purchasings, “fraternities“ and donations received from the voivodes he was faithful to - which was later lost as a consequence of the denunciation made by those from whom he had taken them. The descendants of Gheorghe Piscanul seem to forget the important role their ancestors played in the relationships with the neighborhoods and estates: the monastery Valea, Ştefan Bellu, his son and his nephew, respectively – Alexandru şi Barbu Bellu.
