Societăţi preoţeşti în Piteşti

  • Subiect: The Societies of The Priests in Piteşti From 1881 to 1953 two clergy societies existed in Piteşti, Argeş County: ”Ajutorul“ (the headquarter in the courtyard of Sfânta Vineri Church) was founded in 1881 and dissolved in 1938, and the second society, a cultural and philanthropic one, ”Frăţia“ (the headquarter on 17 I. C. Brătianu Street), founded in 1897, and dissolved under the pressure of the communist regime in 1953. The main goal of the first society, ”Ajutorul“, was to help the priests from Piteşti, unlike the other society, ”Frăţia“, whose members were all the priests from the Argeş Eparchies.
