Inter ad Indiam în basmele româneşti

  • Subiect: Iter Ad Indiam in Romanian fairytales. The present study tries to offer few arguments supporting the identification of Iter ad indiam motive as the principle idea that structures the narration from the story of “Harap - Alb". The author expand the hypothesis (detaching himself form previous interpretations) of foundation of the fairytale on the initialing itinerary under the form of travelling to the other end, the eastern end, of the earth. The analysis of the narrative structure of the fairytale in relation with a comparative method concerning motives circulation on large cultural spaces supports the interpretative approach.
