Radu I Vv. Şi scaunul domnesc din Argeş. Repere din istoriografie

  • Subiect: Radu I Vv. And the Lordly Sway in Argeş. Historiographical References (I); - Reassessments/ completion/ improvements - (II) In the paper the reign of the voivode Radu I /c. 1377 - c. 1384/ and his position as a voivode in the capital of the feudal Walachia are discussed. There is no official document left from him, but he certainly was a voivode in Argeş, at the Court his grandfather, Basarab I, had build. It was a complex which included the Saint Nicholas Church built by Vladislav I-Vlaicu. A series of monetary emissions proves his presence on the throne. One of them, (v. n. 11, and here fig. 6) led to a controversial situation: it was considered that the figure on one of the coins was that of Vladislav who was supposed to be the sun of Radu I and made V. Drăghiceanu to''identify'' the tomb of this ''son''; Oct. Iliescu demonstrated that in reality that emission was from Vlaicu Vodă’s time.
