G.T. Kirileanu în documente inedite

  • Subiect: G. T. Kirileanu, a scholar whose personality is almost forgotten, has the merit of having been a good literary historian, folcorist and epistolograf. He owned and then gave to the roman state his immense library that contains 30,000 volumes of books, important unpublished materials, documents, manuscripts donated at his death to the district library from Piatra Neamt along with the entire building which served as the home and the library which now bears his name. All of his editorial contributions, both the literary history, the folclor and the history of culture generally refers to unpublished materials that are in its collection or collections of the Academy library or State Archives. Considering the fact that in Iasi, the National Museum Complex Moldova holds a number of papers, most letters from the period when he was the secretary and the director of the Foundation of Royal Ferdinand in 1931,1933,1934, in the previous period of its withdrawal at Piatra Neamt, as well as an important number of letters that were addressed by people with whom he collaborated, with either official and professional, or he was in friendly relations, we propose to comment in this paper some of those letters that carries his signature.
