Întru Fericita Adormire a Patriarhului Teoctist

  • Subiect: Teodor Arăpaşu, was horn on February 7th, 1915, as the tenth child of a Moldavian family. He died on July 30th, 2007, as the fifth Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church (since November 1986). Between these two dates, his life stretched out rich in the events stirred by the tormented Romanian communist epoch, during which famous churches were demolished and numerous ministers of God went through incredible martyrdoms, in the communist prisons. The article sketches the life and activity of one of the controversial personalities of the Romanian public life.
