Familia Hepites între Brăila şi Bucureşti - reconstituire genealogică -

  • Subiect: The Hepites Family between Brăila and Bucharest. A Genealogical Reconstitution A street in Bucharest bears the name of Ştefan Hepites, founder of the Meteorological Institute of Bucharest, and with it, the memory of the family originated from Greece, and having arrived in Walachia by 1829. The first name mentioned by the chroniclers is the one of Constantin lpitis, cavalry commander. The author goes back in time, by means of various documents attesting the past part played by the Hepites offsprings, in the history of the towns they inhabited.
