  • Subiect: The article deals with the Oriental sources in the Byzantine iconography. This study refers to understanding the symbiosis of the Oriental-Hellenistic influences in the Byzantine iconographic program, from the beginning of the Christian art to the (Constantinian period. The main theme refers to the typologies and codes present in the visual arts, in connection with the perpetuation of the cultural Oriental heritage.
