Expoziţia ceramică din Transilvania. Secolele XVII-XXI

  • Subiect: The exhibition Ceramics from Transylvania. The 17th-21st Centuries follows the evolution of the typology and of the ornaments of the Saxon ceramics from Transy/vania, the part of the pottery guild in the emergence and development of the ceramics centres, as well as the influences of the inhabiting populations on this craft. The exhibition, unique through the unveiling of the production secret and of the evolution of the ornaments over time, equal/y aims at presenting the ceramics not only as art objects, but also as useful objects, that decorate the contemporary interior, suggesting the opportunity of a comparative study referring to the typology and specificity of the ceramics within the entire European space. The exhibition gives a broad and generous perspective on the multiculturality of the Transylvanian space, of the communion, cohabitation, and cooperation relationships for centuries between Romanians, Saxons, Hungarians, and Szeklers.
