  • Subiect: Ruler Mircea „The Great" - or „The Old" - Pleading for conferring ruler Mircea the epithet „ The Great" Posterity has recorded various defining epithets for a lot of historical personalities - among them, ruler Mircea of Walachia, known either as the Great, or as the Old. The epithet „the Great" is most suited to define the qualities of the important political and military man considered to be the best Wallachian leader during the early Middle Ages. The author's opinion is built upon a series of documents rendering the grandeur of the ruler's deeds.
