Pictorul Sorin Manolescu. Fotografii inedite din colecţia familiei

  • Subiect: The period between the two world wars was marked by a current statement of regional cultures within the broader national culture. This was made possible by economic development. In Braila (one port cities of the Lower Danube) in addition to specialized institutions have enabled a large number of companies and artistic groups. In 1937 Sorin Popescu founded the Lower Danube artistic group - a true nucleus of local fine arts. From this group has been part the painter Sorin Manolescu. He represented in his creation forests and landscapes from the pools of Braila, missing today. His artistic activity has been woven with a particularly interesting biography. In the family album are a series of photos that completed the typical intellectual interwar potrait of Sorin Popescu.
