Simboluri heraldice pe obiecte de artă decorativă din colecţiile Muzeului Municipiului Bucureşti

  • Subiect: The Museum of the Municipality of Bucharest is a custodian of a valuable collections of decorative art like: glass, porcelain, wood, metal, comprising armor with heraldic items, monogramming. Using heraldic symbols on items of common use was the prerogative of kings, nobles, heraldry is a purely western cultural phenomenon. In the middle of the nineteenth century in the Romanian countries produced a revival of family coats of arms representing a form of European integration of the Romanian aristocracy. Coat of arms and monogram reconstruct the symbolic universe of princes and boyars’ families, they retain the imprint of historical figures or family and carry with them a story written or unwritten, known or unknown. Emblem itself is a mystery that incites you to untie. Heraldic and monograms which are colored glass and porcelain objects from the Heritage of the Museum of the Municipality of Bucharest, is the subject of this article. The collection of glass and porcelain of great typological diversity include thousands of pieces representative of the art glass processing. The Sets of glasses are crafted in Bohemian crystal of Murano, and the table of porcelain are made in the workshops of famous western England, France, Germany, Denmark. Their value, however, is that the families were ordered boyars such as Sutu, Cantacuzino Cuza, the Romanian Royal family. Most dating from XIX, when among large families and restore reheraldizare produce a coat of arms displayed on houses, on seals, on personal items, all now being used heavily for customization and monograms. Emblems and monograms applied decorative art objects, museum institution is for their true authenticity certificates, giving them great value.
