Mănăstirea Plumbuita

Subiect: The monastery known as Plumbuita – that is the Lead-covered one – name under which it became known during the first years of the 17th century, is set on the left side of the Colentina highway, on a sort of a half-island surrounded by the waters of the lake bearing the same name. The Plumbuita monastery is an architectural complex resulting from its evolution throughout the years, as a consequence of renewals and completions made during the times of a series of founding rulers.
