Materiale arheologice din aşezarea Cucuteni A-B şi B de la Mărgineni, jud. Neamţ

  • Subiect: The surface research from Mărgineni, Neamţ county, in the archaeological point named Iugani is meant to illuminate us mainly about the Cucutenian settlement that has been discovered here some time ago. The first information concerns the state of the material evidence and the stratigraphic situation. We can observe that the artefacts are strongly affected by the effects of the agricultural activity from the area. The same reason determined the impossibility of determining a stratigraphy. The pottery and the statuettes indicate us the relative dating of the settlement, which is Cucuteni A-B and B. Excepting the sherds belonging to a painted, large pot, all the other evidence represents pottery of common use. The most consistent body of artefacts is that of the stone worked objects. Interesting information is offered by the raw material, flint or obsidian, which shows the connections that were established with more or less distant spaces.
