Sania de treierat (tribulum): perspectivă etnoarheologică. Studiu de caz asupra unui exemplar din colecţia Muzeului Civilizaţiei Populare Tradiţionale ASTRA Sibiu

  • Subiect: This study proposes an interdisciplinary approach and threshing sledge, based on research and archaeological, ethnographic, historical and traceological information. This threshing instrument is relevant for the emergence and evolution of agriculture - since Prehistory limes until today - but not only that it is still used in the twenty-first century and draws attention to some important aspects of human culture history. Ethnoarchaeology, as a more recent method of research, having nat only its own methodology (traceology, databases and ethnographic analogies), but also some used in related fields, helps to identify the functioning of various artefacts found in archaeological sites. The first part of the study tackles ethnoarchaeology and traceology, focusing an the definitions and their explicitness first of all because they are nat so well known and used in the Romanian scientific field, and secondly, in order to understand the relevance of the data we used in this study about the threshing sledge. The second part of the study unfolds the evolution of the threshing sledge in time and space. lt leads to the third part, which focuses on an ethnographic threshing sledge from the collection of the ASTRA Museum of Traditional Folk Civilization from Sibiu, Romania. This threshing sledge dating from the twentieth century was acquired in 1974 from a peasant from the village of Mahmudia, the Tulcea county (Dobrogea) by the curators of the museum.
