  • Subiect: Romanian wall carpets made by anonymous popular craftsman in the Buzău area, from the ethnographic collection of the Buzău county Museum The present work is a modest homage to all those creators of wall carpets, from all periods, who chose significant signs and symbols to demonstrate the Romanian talent through the centuries and eventually identify themselves as Romanian art in the universal culture. We chose this topic because the Buzău County Museum has the most important collection of the country of Romanian contemporary tapestry and we know very well that the inspiration source was the Romanian wall carpet made by rural craftsmen. We gathered several Romanian wall carpets made by anonymous popular craftsmen of the Buzău region and belonging to the ethnographic collection of the Buzău County Museum.
