Despre cel mai important centru apicol din Moldova medievală

  • Subiect: The most important apiarian centre from Medieval Moldavia was located round about Bohotin, in the South of Moldavia 's hilly plains and in the Northem part of the Plateau of Bârlad, as well as in the South-East of Iaşi. The massive lime woods and the princely estate used for pastures provided the best conditions for the development of bee keeping. This steppe area with woods (foreststeppe) was also extended to the North-West of Iaşi, in the parts of Cârligătura. These places and settlements were spotted by the specialists on cartographic sketches concerning the apiarian division into zones of the Feudal Moldavia. Thus, it was achieved the division into zones of the beekeeping spreading in the Medieval Moldavia.
