Cenzura anilor '30 oglindită în circularele telegrafice şi note telegonice adresate prefecturii judeţului Tulcea

  • Subiect: The article presents a moment of Censorship Bureau's activity of the Ministry of Interior, during Tătărăscu liberal government (January the 5th 1934-November the 14th 1937) where Secretaries of State, Eugen Titeanu and Dimitrie Luca had the goal of maintaining population's peace and calm by censorship, so called, news alarmist or subliminal attacks in the media, culture and cinema. Censorship activity took place through telephone or telegraph messages sent to prefectures (Tulcea county, in this case), where the local 's authorities applied them. Material present, disclose , the elements that represented, at this time, the government's fears. Emerges mainly censorship by alarmist news, immediate revolution, irredentist activity, private life of Royal House 's members, and the romanian army. It is interesting to note that many of the measures of censorship had purpose, moreover, they created moments of chaos and social unrest, the reality facts were unknown to civil society. Today we can make a profound analysis of society, phobias and behavior of the interwar Romanian state, making an arch over time with the current postmodern period, characterized by "information inflation".
