Băile Herculane. Inscripţii şi plăci memoriale din secolul al XIX-lea

  • Subiect: „Băile Herculane, inscriptions and memorial plaques in the 19th century Băile Herculane is well known for its Roman inscriptions since the 18th century. Less known are the inscriptions dating back from the time of the flowering of the locality as a spa, during the 19th century. These are written in Latin or Hungarian and evoke the visits of royalty or other significant events and personalities of the empire and therefore, many of them have fallen victims of the communist regime. This paper identifies and comments these inscriptions that were transcribed in a monograph-guide printed in 1905, focusing valuable documentary sources.”
