„Oameni şi cioburi”. Mormintele neo-eneolitice descoperite în Sălaj. Rezultatele analizei antropologice

  • Subiect: ”People and shreds”. Neo-Eneolithic burials discovered in Sălaj. The results of the anthropological analysis The archaeological research carried out in the last 20 years brought to the identification of numerous cremation and inhumation graves assigned to the Neo-Eneolithic period, graves that were presented over the past years in specialized literature. In 2018, a part of these graves were analyzed from an anthropological perspective, the results being briefly valorized in the present study. Even if not all the graves couldn't be studied due to their poor skeletal conservation, those which who could be studied shows with no doubt that within the Suplac communities the cremations was practiced in parallel with the inhumations, the lack of discoveries from other sites being most probably only a state of research. Also, on the base of three cremation graves from Suplacu de Barcău/Porţ “Corău'' were identified certain elements of the funerary ritual and were highlighted two types of depositions (pit and cinerary urn), slightly different in terms of chronology. Even if we have a single grave of a female, even in this case it could be observed small differences of the funerary ritual: urn deposition without inventory or red ochre.
