  • Subiect: The Thracian horse-bit. People and warriors The artifact presented in this article is a thracian bit that was discovered at Meseşenii de Sus, Sălaj County, by the means of the metal detector. After the discoverer followed all the legal steps which are required in this kind of situation, the piece entered the patrimony of the Zalău County Museum of History and Art. The artefact is unique in the museum's heritage due to the fact that it has all its components. Using optimal restoration technique, insisting on mechanical methods with minimal material losses, but using chemicals for corrosion processing operation, we were able to achieve the aims proposed for this special and rare piece.
