  • Subiect: The Unguraş Orthodox Archdiocese in the second half of the 19th century. Parish structures, believers, deans and priests For the area and the period studied, the Unguraş Orthodox Archdiocese was the institution that preserved the perceptions of Orthodoxy in today's Sălaj area. In the first part of this study, based on new and published sources, we will present the evolution of this institution in terms of parish structures, but also the number of believers. At the same time, we will mention the names of the priests who pastored in the parishes of this archdiocese in the second half of the 19th century. In the secondary part of the study we will present short biographies of the archpriests who led this archdiocese in the reference period.
