Noul urban e vechiul rural. Cazul arhitecturii ţărăneşti „moderni”

  • Subiect: The new urban area is the old rural area. The case of “modern” peasant architecture A field research in the Sălaj area of the Almaş Valley is the starting point for an analysis on the dynamics of traditional architecture, which returns to the attention of contemporary architects and beneficiaries, after a phase of urbanization, standardization and use of industrially processed materials. In the traditional village, the building materials were almost entirely taken from nature: wood, stone, clay; an increasingly visible current in modern architecture – marks a return to these materials, in a trend of ruralization of the urban, finalized by green houses, rustic homes, ecological houses, homes integrated in nature or houses in a traditional style (sometimes built from scratch, other times – the restoration of original village houses, with the initial materials). Basically, the old rural is the new urban. It is a return to nature, with care for the environment and the desire to integrate architecture into the cultural landscape.
