Bizanţul şi meseriile artistice carpato-dunărene în secolele V-X

  • Subiect: During the V-Xth centuries AD, the economic and cultural links between the Carpatho-Danubian regions and the Byzantine Empire were particularly active. In all of these relationships, a particular place had its elements and influences transmitted to the north of the Lower Danube by the Empire, especially in the field of handicrafts that produced ornaments, clothing and worship. Many craftsmen from the empire and local craftsmen have produced various objects under the influence of Byzantine art. In the northern part of the Danube, specialized workshops (Turnu Severin, Celei, Banat, Felnac, Costesti, Lozna, Botosana, Davideni, Bucharest, Corund, Dumbrăveni, Bernaşovka, Hansca etc.) were discovered. In addition to these vestiges, several pots and items of gold and silver from some princely tombs or treasures discovered by accident (Apahida, Cluj-Someşeni, Tăuteni, Şimleul Silvaniei, Botoşani, Cuciurul Mare, Sânnicolaul Mare etc.) were certified. Some of these vestiges of gold and silver are gifts made by the empire to local leaders, others were brought as prey during the invasions by migrants from the southern Danube.
