Moşiile mănăstirii Aron Vodă din ţinutul istoric al Fălciului

  • Subiect: The monastery dedicated to Sfântul Nicolae was built in Ţarina Iaşilor on the hill called Aroneanu by Aron Tiranul, the illegitimate son of ruler Alexandru Lăpuşneanu, was given on December 12, 1594 the villages Rânzeşti from Prut, the county of Fălciu, and Avereşti, Neamţ county. The property of the Aron Voda Monastery also included the Hanăseni and Ştiubeiu estates from the Elan water to the same county of Fălciu. The present article highlights the evolution of the estates from the county of Fălciu on the basis of the documents published in the collections known to the researchers, but especially the novelties from the Archives from Iaşi and the Library of the Romanian Academy in Bucharest. After the secularization of monasteries by ruller Alexandru Ioan Cuza (1859-1866), the fate of the monastery of Aron Voda, dedicated at that moment to the Patriarchate, abandoned by the greek monks, became sad, under the care of some curators who did not face the new challenges.
