Domnia lui Ştefan cel Tânăr în Ţara Moldovei (1517-1527)

  • Subiect: The grandson of Stephen the Great, Stephen the Younger, reigned in medieval Moldova between 1517 - 1527, being underaged at his ascension to the throne of the country. So, he could not govern alone, but only under the regency of the ruler of the fortress of Suceava, Luca Arbore. However, he managed to institute some reforms in the internal politics of the medieval state of Moldova: he strengthened the central power and destroyed the core of the great boyars; he replaced from their positions the old governors with new governors, coming from the middle-class boyars; he gave the great properties to the monasteries and to the middle-class boyars that he had attracted onto his side.
