Producţie, contacte şi schimburi în Transilvania epocii bronzului

  • Subiect: This paper tries to explain the economic system in Transylvania of the Bronze Age in the context of the European society of that time. Considering the Carpathian Space as a living organism (from an economic and social point of view), I think we can draw a model of a viable non / monetary economy. For this we took into account: geographical position, human and natural resources, production of goods, internal and external contacts, trade. Transylvania's resources, enormous in relation to the number of inhabitants at that time, consist primarily of gold, copper and salt. Metal and salt production were probably strictly controlled by tribal chiefs or tribal unions. We do not know exactly the form of organization, but we can assume that an economic chain that begins with mining, continues with the production of metal and then its processing into artifacts had to be protected. This was done in three ways: administrative (political), military and religious.
