O nouă descoperire de celt cu două urechiuşe în spaţiul dintre Carpaţi şi Prut

  • Subiect: The study discusses a Late Bronze Age double-looped socketed axe and its classification from a typological and chronological point of view. This type of socketed axe is found in the North Pontic area from the Don to the Carpathians, one object been discovered at the south of Danube, in Bulgaria. Chronologically, this type of socketed axe is specific to the Late Bronze Age, being found in the repertoire of discoveries belonging to the Srubnaia cultures and the Noua- Sabatinovka-Coslogeni complex. On this axe it was made an metallographic analyze, which show a copper-tin alloy, but with a high tin – 21,97%. High percentage of tin it was done intentionally, this axe could had a social or military symbol.
