  • Subiect: The medals are very precious historical resources and they also have an artistic and symbolical value. They communicate to both the contemporary and coming generations information referring to anniversaries or events, locations, institutions or personalities, images from the past or present as well as portraits of personalities. Medals originate in the commemorative coins and they are mainly made from metal (gold, silver, bronze, brass, copper, aluminum, etc). They have the same form and symbolical representations with the respective coins and most of them are collectible pieces.
