Reforma agrară şi începutul procesului de colectivizare în judeţul/raionul Tecuci - etape ale instaurării şi consolidării regimului comunist

  • Subiect: Agricultural reform and the beginning of the collectivization process in Tecuci county / district - stages of the establishment and consolidation of the communist regime The agrarian problem was a constant in the history of Romania, and it was exploited to the full by the communist regime established on March 6, 1945. The class struggle was for the Romanian village a struggle to purge all opponents of the regime. Tecuci County had about 170,000 inhabitants in 1945 and the main occupation was agriculture. In order to divide the lands of the peasants, the local authorities abusively deprived the great philanthropists of the county of all goods, families like: Cincu, Sachelarie, Demetriade, Giurgea, etc. Many of the former owners were convicted by the communist judiciary or forced to emigrate. The population of the county was facing a serious food crisis. The beginning of the process of collectivization of agriculture was negatively perceived by the population of the county, peasant riots took place which were violently repressed by the regime with the involvement of Security Forces who used heavy weapons to impose socialist order. Tecuci County was a positive example through its resistance to collectivization but also a negative example through the atrocities committed by the local communist authorities.
