Vârsta copilăriei - perioada de maximă receptivitate pentru construirea unei relaţii muzeu-public

  • Subiect: Museums evolved over time, from simple collections of objects to living museums, as we can observe them today. The new important component is nowadays it's connection with the public. To increase the number of visitors, a museum aims to become an educational instrument and to tighten its relations with schools. In this respect, the Art Museum from Ploieşti has initiated a series of programs for children in order to make them familiar with the museum. In one of them, the children were taught how to work with painting instruments, or about the art techniques, to name just some of these projects. Short films about historical monuments, like Bran Castle or Peleş Castle, were used to form their taste of visiting. This program was a success and the number of children of different ages visiting the museum, or becoming its Friends, increased considerably.
