Date noi cu privire la cronologia absolută a eneoliticului timpuriu din Transilvania. Rezultatele prelucrării probelor radiocarbon de la Orăţtie - Dealul Pemilor, pinct X2, jud. Hunedoara

  • Subiect: The author intends to create for the first time a global image of the absolute chronology of the Turdaş culture by making use of the first radiocarbon (C14) data found at the Turdaş site from Orăştie-Dealul Pemilor, point X2. These data are 6070 ± 70 BP - Deb. 5765, 5825 ± 60 BP - Deb. 5762 and 5790 ± 55 BP - Deb. 5775. The dated materials have been proceeded from the dugouts of the inferior level of this archaeological site which also contains a recent level with surface dwellings. From the point of view of the relative chronology this archaeological site belongs to the later phase of the Turdaş culture. According to all the absolute chronological data, the later phase of the Turdaş culture may be contemporary with the A phase of the Petreşti culture. At the end, the author suggest an absolute dating of the Turdaş culture ((6150) 6100-5900 (5800) BP), as a support for his work till some C14 data, for each of this culture's phases appear.
