Lămpile romane de la Micia în colecţiile Muzeului Naţional de istorie a Transilvaniei

  • Subiect: The Roman oil lamps discovered at Micia have not constituted for the moment the subject of a monographic study. Parts of these lamps were included in the general works about the lamps in Dacia. They are grouped in 3 collections. The first collection belongs to the Dacian and Roman Civilization Museum in Deva and it contains old discoveries and lamps accrued from diggings after 1971. The second collection belongs to National History Museum of Transylvania in Cluj and it contains acquisitions and donations from the 19th century; The third collection belongs to the Romanian National History Museum in Bucharest and it contains lamps resulted from the Roman camp and thermae diggings undertaken after 1967, most of them unpublished. The collection belonging to the National History Museum of Transylvania in Cluj Napoca consists of 12 lamps made from clay and one piece made from bronze. Because of their reduced number and variety they were presented among other pieces discovered at Micia.
