Cu privire la un fragment de medalion funerar de la Benic

  • Subiect: There is a fragment of a funeral medallion incorporated in the enclosing walls of Mr. Aurel Lalu's house at Benic No 170, a village of Gâlda de Jos commune (Alba district). It is the up left corner with a part of ivy leaves coronet, and an expressive woman head is kept in the niches there. They date from the 2nd century AD. The fragment seems to come from a funeral medallion associated to funeral lions supposed to have been discovered at Micia and preserved nowadays at the History Museum of Ploieşti (Prahova district).
