Subiect: Part of the pieces were edited, part are unpublished yet, but the two categories the issue is speaking about are attached to the light in the Christian cult. The paleo-Christian Roman earthen-lamp discovered inside the room A of the Roman building at Căuniţa de Sus (village of Gornea-Sicheviţa) is one of the edited pieces. The second piece proceeded from the same village, but from the quadriburgium located at Zamoniţă (inside an 8th – 9th cc mud-hovel). It is a Roman little statue representing a genius, discovered in a pre-feudal Christian environment and that means that it was "Christianized" by the inhabitants of those times. The other seven pieces proceeded from a rural environment (19th-20th cc). They are: five candlesticks and two votive lights. The candlesticks and the candles are taken for objects of cult as they symbolize the light of truth and holiness. The votive light enlightening a Christian icon is a homage, a sign of a great appreciation and veneration for the painted saint, and the icon is in turn a sacrifice bought by the burning oil.
