Lumina candelabrului Menorach în simbolistica ritului mozaic

  • Subiect: Considering the enormous contribution of the Holy Light to the extension of the humankind life, the author affirms that people have always considered the light as reflecting the Divinity Face. All along the time the Light as an object of veneration was a presence in almost all the religious rites, attached to some other objects of cult, and watched with a sacral rigour by people selected from the most representative sacerdotal clans. Inside that theological-ritualistic frame the Divine revelation transmitted by the great prophet Moses to the Israelites the seven branches lampstand called Menorach (the „Enlighted Number" into Romanian) is settled. As an object of cult this lampstand with seven branches, having seven cups set up the branches, each with capital and flowers, represents a complex series of symbols, both for the religious practice and the cosmic phenomenology. There are interesting theological and cosmological meanings bound to Menorach as: Logos prophorikos, the active Logos in the pan cosmic life, as the True Light illuminates the life of all who are born and live all over the light if we speak of the philosophy of religions.
