Înfăptuirea unităţii depline a statului naţional român reflectată în presa românească interbelică din Sălaj

  • Subiect: The Complete Unification of the Romanian State Reflected in the Romanian Inter-War Newspapers of the Sălaj District The study is meant to be a broad and not yet finished off image of the way the historic Act of the 1s1 December 1918 was dealt with the inter-war Romanian newspapers from Sălaj district; henceforth i t is also a review of the further opinions connected with the event. Dwelling on the subject of the union of Transylvania to Romania the published material between the two World Wars having a historical theme showed an interest in the national struggle of the Transylvanian Romanians ever since in the 18tb century. However the article is concerned only with the period that ranges from 1849 to 1918, that is an epoch of the Transylvanian Romanians struggle after the 1848 bourgeois democratic revolution until the achievement of the Great Union. Although in the inter-war period there were a few deserving concerns to reveal novel aspects of the final stage in the way to achieving the national unity of the Romanian countries, although the debates were focused on the contribution brought by some personalities from Sălaj district in reaching the great national desideratum, we may conclude that Silviu Dragomir's statement in „A quarter of a century from the union of Transylvania” (1943) is true in so far the insufficient probing of the historical document about the Great Union was concerned. We may however point out the profound significance of such concerns.
