Câteva date despre locuirea neo-eneolitică din zona Alexandriei

  • Subiect: Some data Concerning the Neo-Eneolithic Habitation Around Alexandria This article is focused on the study of the Neo-Eneolithic habitation around Alexandria, the main city of the Teleorman County. The researches area stretches on the segment of Vedea river extent between two tributaries, the Nanov and the Vistireasa streams. The Neo-Eneolithic habitation contains the entire chronological and cultural sequence, the early Neolithic (Stareevo-Criş), the developed Neolithic (Dudeşti and Boian-Giuleşti) and Eneolithic period (Boian-Spanţov and Gumelniţa). 23 locations with typical finds were found along the time. The recent discoveries have completed this image. Most of researches a.re field researches, Only in two cases there are archaeological diggings. The most important are provided by the SRAP in 2002 digging season and focused the Gumelnita tell settlement named "Gorgan". There are many and various discoveries, as proved by the amount of ceramics and the tools made of bone, horn, flint, copper, or the anthropomorphic or zoomorphic objects discovered in all the settlement.
