Subiect: The restoration of Saint MArty Elefterios icon, 17-18 centuries
The icon ”St. Elefterie” belongs to the collection of the "The Royal Court" National Museum Complex from Târgovişte and it was painted during the 17-18th centuries in tempera on wood. Being in a precarious conservation state, displaying an increased fragility at the countertop and corrosion on the areas of the metal components, applying a work methodology was required in order to cease and remedy the degradation forms of the icon.
