Restaurarea unui catavasier manuscris de secol XIX

  • Subiect: Restoration of a 19th century manuscript catavasier The 19th century manuscript is a volume of religious songs from the Byzantine Orthodox rite, written in the new hrisantic system. The book had a separate group of 45 individual leaves representing calligraphy drills and drafts. The damage occurred especially on the bookbinding. In humid conditions many elements of it were detached and both boards were lost. The book had biological attacks caused by Aspergillus Ruber, Anobiidae and rodents. The treatment was done by mechanical detachment of the dirt deposits, washing the leaves, and insisting on the surface of individual leaves. The restoration of pages was done with completion of the support gaps , preserving the moving parts of the original flyleaves. The sections were sewn with new flyleaves in the original system, rounding the inner spine, then corners of boards was covered with leather and also the outer spine, for covering the boards using thik velin paper.
