Combaterea dăunătorilor biologici din depozite şi sălile de expoziţie

  • Subiect: Combating biological pests in warehouses and exhibition halls All over the world, the most suitable ways of preserving cultural goods are sought because cultural patrimony or heritage sums up the fundamental testimonies of human history and civilization. The conservation measures that are within our reach can provide to our patrimonial heritage a suitable protection, if and only if, it is applied permanently and in its entirety to all objects. The work "Combating biological pests in warehouses and exhibition halls" is intended to be, beyond its didactic aspect, a means of knowing and deepening a less visible, but extremely important area within museums, which ensures, in the end, the good functioning of any measures for maintenance, storage and exposure. Insects play an important role in the natural degradation of organic materials; they make no distinction between garbage and valuables. They obtain the necessary nutrients from organic materials. Dirt, fat, dust, perspiration provide additional nutrients that make objects more attractive to insects. The Work presents the description of the 5 stages that underlie the management of the bio-donors: avoiding, blocking, detecting, isolating and treating.
