Asigurarea condiţiilor de iluminare a spaţiilor muzeale conform cerinţelor normelor conservării preventive

  • Subiect: Lighting Conditions in Museum According to Preventive Conservation Standards The lighting of museum space is one of the essential components of the exposition. Lighting must take into account the visitors' visual capabilities and also the fact that all cultural objects suffer a significant depreciation when exposed to the light. In evaluating the negative effects of lighting one must take into account the radiation composition, the nature of the exposed objects, the light intensity and also the exposure duration. Several ways of protecting the objects from UV and IR radiation exposure are described in this article. Other parameters of a light source (colour temperature and colour reproduction) that modify the way the objects are perceived are also taken into account. The importance of quality lighting devices and measurement equipment is emphasised.
