  • Subiect: Memoires on Grigore Antipa Prominent biologist and professor, Constantin S. Antonescu (1902-1981) worked within the Administration of Fisheries of the Roman.ian State, under the great hydrobiologist and museologist Grigore Antipa's leadership, during the pe1iod September 1931 - November 1938. In the original text we present, written în December 1979, C. S. Antonescu made a colourful portrait of Grigore Antipa, together with he head made researching trips in Danube Delta. While preparing his thesis for a doctor's degree în hydrobiology (1928-1930), în Germany, C. S. Antonescu met Grigore Antipa. C. S. Antonescu points out Antipa's great fame within the German biologists of that time. C. S. Antonescu's memoirs offer us a less known image of that one who laid the foundations of the hydrobiological studies in Roman.ia and organised the great Museum of Natural History from Bucharest.
