  • Subiect: Museums in Romania and the Public Interest. A Contemporary View The author tries to explain the reasons for which he considers that the Roman ian curators are affected by general lack of interest for the public ... interest. Many of these reasons are to be found in the 500 years of non-democratic history of the country and the weakness of the civil society which led to a position of non-involvement in the processes of today's society. Some other reasons are connected with the confusion that mastered the country in the last 8 years. Each of these conclusions is reached after a detailed explanation of the last year's developments. The author calls for an awakening of consciousness and energies, in order to bring the public interest in the centre of the curators view.
