Din nou despre unele realităţi de la nordul Dunării de Jos în secolele VI-VII d. Hr.

  • Subiect: „Analyzing the information transmitted by the Byzantine written sources about the realities from the north of the Lower Danube during the VI-VII centuries, it is found that in many cases there are exaggerations, unclear, erroneous data and ignorance of the geo-political situation. Such information can lead to wrong conclusions about the history of the Carpatho-Danubian regions in general. Errors like these, for the most part, could be corrected through archaeological investigations, highlighting concretely the social-economic, cultural and ethno-linguistic realities existing in the mentioned period. In conjunction with the little news provided by the Byzantine sources, the results of archaeological research have thus been able to highlight the numerous prefaces that took place within the Roman society in a historically troubled period from a political and military point of view.”
